No you are pretty much spot on, but in it's defence the Nitecore is a tough plastic, it's tiny and lightweight and totally adequate for a fishing situation, if my life depended on it however I would chose the Fenix every time The law states staying in a roof tent isn’t covered by the Scottish Access Rights. Public or private land owners can restrict or regulate parking on their land, you must comply with this. I've had a look at them and yes they are probably good but a bit like alot of others. Roof tents have a smaller environmental impact compared to traditional ground camping. They don’t require clearing ground vegetation or disrupting the natural landscape, making them a more sustainable choice in ecologically sensitive areas. The problem with the awning is it will protect you from the weather but not the insects: call the new awning room! The last thing you want is for the roof tent to come loose or get damage by a cheap set of roof bars. Overall this was a great trip and I really could have used the awning room when it was rainy and the noseeums (midges) where out in force.

The awning room has been designed to fit on the awning on any car. There’s two sizes: for cars upto 1.7m tall and 2.2m. Updated - on the original model SUNBLESA H11 I received I found there were problems with the battery life. However, having returned this,

I have the Fenix HM65R which is rechargeable with a spare battery. Mental amount of lumens but I only use it in a low power mode. Personally I don't think you will go wrong with a Fenix. I have now received an upgraded model with an improved battery as a replacement and am pleased to report that the battery life is now vastly improved. So much so that I would now say that this is the easily the best head torch that I've used in terms of functionality, performance and value.
