About this deal

The characters make it a priority to discuss everything and listen to one another, and to make sure they’re comfortable with the direction their relationship is going. I'd rather silently recommend it anonymously somewhere on the internet rather than to my friends (I think it's a given that romance books are usually secret loves. There were also a point in Weston's backstory where he made the decision that he wasn't going to let his disability run his life. Bringing you back to a time when you first felt that fleeting rush of butterflies and adrenaline and transporting you into another world. After reading other reviews and finding out that there are a lot of subtle faith/religious themes, I'm glad I didn't finish this one.

The storyline, while not fast-paced, moved along at just the right pace and kept my interest from beginning to end. Weston was inspired by every person who has overcome incredible challenges and limitations without losing their spirit, humor, or zest for life. Please mark it as "Want To Read" and add a little note to your status saying why you're excited to read this book!

Tessa and Weston sounded almost exactly the same, because they were written in the exact same style. If you have to give almost a full chapter of backstory at the beginning of your story, you started in the wrong place. I don't like swearing, but add to that God's name being used frequently and flippantly retracted pleasure from the dialogue for me. If she'd actually learnt that her misbelief was wrong, then I'd be on board with it but she never does. I understand wanting to support an indie author, and I’m glad people enjoyed her book, but there were so many problematic elements in this book that I’m a little worried that so few people have mentioned them. What followed were a series of just idiotic actions meant to show that Weston wasn’t letting his disability stop him. It saddens me that in the age of the "Me too" movement characters like Weston are still romanticised and have their actions portrayed as normal or desirable to young women.I found that, as I was reading, I was far more invested in his narration than I was in Tessa's, despite her problems being the catalyst for the whole story.
